  • Introduction to Safeguarding

    • Understanding the coach role in ensuring the safety and well being of young athletes

  • Hydration and Nutrition

    • Discussing hydration strategies, balanced diets and pre post training meal plan for young athletes

  • Injury management

    • Understanding common sports injuries in grassroots football and their prevention

    • Overview of basic injury management techniques including first aid, RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation) and when to seek medical help

  • Review and Q/A session

    • Q/A session to address any questions or concerns regarding safeguarding, hydration, nutrition and injury management
