Why Karnataka & Punjab?

BBFS is already well-known for its commitment to grassroots football, but these new academies were chosen with specific regions in mind. Although the BBFS Residential Academy in Delhi has long been a hub, starting a new program in Punjab opens a big opportunity for localites from the region to stay in their state and pursue football professionally.  Siddharth Rawat, BBFS’s Head of Operations, is pretty stoked. “We saw a demand coming from the Punjab region. That’s why we partnered with Om Parkash Bansal Modern School in Gobindgarh, Mandi. It’s designed to be more accessible for families who want the best training without the challenges of relocating to Delhi.”

What’s New at These Academies?

The new BBFS academies in Karnataka and Punjab follow the same structure as other BBFS locations, with a strong emphasis on building a competitive mindset. Bangalore, with its vibrant football scene, makes it easier for students to participate in local matches. “Kids need to know where they stand, and that only comes with competition,” the spokesperson said.Each player will have the opportunity to compete in at least 30 matches per season, providing them with the exposure needed to sharpen their skills and grow as footballers on various competitive platforms.

In Chandigarh, the new partnership is even more exciting, as it’s the first time the school will be offering a residential program. “Our kids will be the first set of hostellers,” Siddharth confirmed, adding that both academies are still in the early stages of preparing for admissions and parent visits starting in mid-October.
